Amerigroup Donates Computers to Nonprofit Organizations Around Georgia

Amerigroup Community Care of Georgia today announced that they are donating more than 70 gently used computers to several Georgia area nonprofits. Most of the donations will take place throughout March during seven Amerigroup Community Breakfast events scheduled around the state. In addition to the computers, Amerigroup will also provide all desktop components including monitors, keyboards and computer mice.

The computer and equipment donations will go to organizations that work to improve the quality of life for kids and families in Georgia. Organizations receiving computers include: May Street YMCA; Build a Bridge Savannah; Boys & Girls Club (Savannah); Tift County Commission on Children and Youth; Family Connection of Columbia County Inc.; Helping Youth Succeed; Girls Inc. (Columbus); Motivating Youth Foundation, Inc.; YELLS, Inc.; CETPA; 100 Black Men of Atlanta; Nichols Center Families of Recovery; MAAC; CASA; Family Promise of Hall County; Empty Stocking Fund; A Window of Hope for Upsons Kids.

“These organizations provide services, which are crucial to the communities they serve,” said Fran Gary, plan president, Amerigroup Georgia. “We are happy to donate this equipment to help our partners continue to do the important work they do in Georgia.”

Amerigroup Community Breakfast events take place in the following cities:

  • Wednesday, March 4: Gainesville Civic Center (Gainesville, GA)
  • Tuesday, March 10: Turner Field – 755 Club (Atlanta, GA)
  • Wednesday, March 11: Savannah Civic Center (Savannah, GA)
  • Friday, March 20: Anderson Conference Center (Macon, GA)
  • Tuesday, March 24: Hilton Garden Inn Downtown (Albany, GA)
  • Wednesday, March 25: The Columbus Museum (Columbus, GA)
  • Tuesday, March 31: Augusta Marriott Convention Center (Augusta, GA)
