Lee County Forrester Parkway Project Now at $7M

The pace at which the Lee County Commission will complete the Forrester Parkway project, which will provide a key artery connecting east and west portions of the county, is still up for debate after the projected cost of the project swelled to $7 million, more than double original estimates.
County officials say the original estimated price tag of a little more than $3 million was based on faulty assumptions. The development would use Forrester Parkway to connect U.S. Highway 19 to U.S. 82 and had been on a fast track.
