Former Albany Community and Economic Development Director Rudy Goddard Dies

Former Albany Community and Economic Development (ACED) Director Rudy Goddard died Thursday, Feb. 5 at his home in West Palm Beach, Fla., at the age of 78.
Goddard, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, was employed by the city from 1982 until retiring in 2001 when he moved to West Palm Beach. In 1988 he was a driving force behind the establishment of the city’s small business “incubator” on Jefferson Street which eventually became the Arthur K. Williams Small Business Development Center.
