EDC Celebrates Quail Hunt, P&G Biomass Plant

The Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission board celebrated a pair of victories during its monthly meeting Wednesday with overviews of the recent Georgia Quail Hunt and the announcement that work is set to start on a new $200 million biomass plant.
EDC Board Chairman Jay Smith said the Quail Hunt, one of two annual events sponsored by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, left a strong impression on participants, which included Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal and Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle.
