Views on the future of Grand Island Golf Club are as varied as the challenges facing golfers on the 18-hole course owned by the residents of Lee County.
For golfers and others who utilize the services and facilities offered at the club, Grand Island is part of what sets Lee County apart as a quality-of-life asset in a progressive county.
For many taxpayers in the fiscally-conservative county, it’s an unnecessary drain on their pocketbook and should be closed unless it can operate totally without tax support.
