Darton Presents the 5th Annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre
Press release from the issuing company
Wednesday, January 7th, 2015
Darton State College’s Humanities Division invites the public to dine and sleuth while contributing to student scholarships at its 5th Annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre on January 23-24. Tickets for this ever-popular event are $50 for general admission, or $350 for a reserved table of eight.
This year’s play, Murderous Crossing by David Landau, is set on board the HMS Victoria in the year 1923. The famous Inspector Clurrot has tracked down a homicidal mastermind hiding out on board. Meanwhile, the ship is playing host to the wedding of Contessa Follette and John D. Rothchild. A marriage encouraged through financial need and murderous greed.
Audience members are encouraged to dress in Roaring Twenties style, and some will be recruited to stand in for members of the wedding in this Agatha Christie style comic mystery. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and for solving the mystery!
Tickets are now on sale and must be purchased by January 16, 2015. Cost of admission includes the interactive show, a three-course meal, and one drink ticket to the cash bar. All proceeds from the event benefit student scholarships for the Humanities Division.
For more information or to purchase tickets, contact the Humanitites Division at (229) 317-6554 or (229) 317-6875.
