Press release from the issuing company
Monday, January 5th, 2015
Military Advanced Education (MAE) has awarded Darton State College the designation of a Top School in its 2015 MAE Guide to Colleges & Universities, measuring best practices in military and veteran education.
MAE evaluated institutions on their military culture, financial aid, flexibility, on-campus support and online support services. Darton’s military resource center provides a number of student support services to military students, including tailored resources, education benefits counseling, and assistance navigating financial opportunities and support during the admissions/enrollment process.
The Guide, in its eighth year, presents the military-supportive policies enacted at more than 600 institutions including private, public, for-profit, not-for-profit, four-year, and two-year colleges. The Guide was released in the December issue of MAE, and is available online at www.mae-kmi.com.
This is the second time this year that Darton State College has been honored for its educational opportunities for servicemembers. In September 2014, the College was named to the coveted Military Friendly Schools® list by Victory Media, the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life.
