The Cancer Coalition of South Georgia invites you to give the gift of doing good this holiday season. The Coalition’s 2014 Holiday Giving Campaign focuses on supporting the local fight against cancer as a gift for loved ones. “Cancer has touched each one of us in some personal way,” said Coalition CEO Diane Fletcher. “I can’t think of a better gift than knowing someone has made a donation to a great cause in my honor.” The Cancer Coalition encourages donors to take advantage of combining their holiday shopping and end-of-year giving into one compassionate gesture of support.
For those who want something to place under the tree, the Cancer Coalition offers a t-shirt for donations of $20 or more. The shirt features the Coalition’s tagline – “Fighting Cancer … Right Here. Right Now.” – and comes with a gift tag that tells the recipient how their gift helped to support the Coalition’s work in South Georgia. Shirts are available in three colors and range of adult sizes.
“The Holiday Giving Campaign is a way to spread awareness about our mission, and an wonderful opportunity for people to help others during this special time of year,” said Melissa Goodin, Cancer Coalition Development Manager.
To make your contribution, simply visit www.sgacancer.org/holiday. T-shirts may be picked up at the Coalition’s main office in Albany until December 19 or they can be shipped for an additional $5.00 donation to cover costs.
