Hutchins Clenney Rumsey Huckaby, P.C., of Blakely and Cordele (HCRH), a certified public accounting and advisory firm, has entered into a purchase agreement to acquire Albany-based firm Robert B. Smith CPA, P.C. The purchase will become effective January 1, 2015, and will represent HCRH’s third location in Southwest Georgia. Robert B. Smith CPA, P.C., was formed in 1985 by Robert (“Bobby”) Smith and provides tax, accounting and consulting services to business and individuals.

“Bobby and his team have a long-standing reputation of providing quality service to their clients, and they will add significant value to our firm,” said Adam Hutchins, a partner with Hutchins Clenney Rumsey Huckaby, P.C. “Their dedication to professionalism and client service directly coincide with the core principles upon which HCRH was built.”

“We saw an opportunity to increase our service scope and provide our clients with additional experience, knowledge and resources,” Smith said. “We are very excited about what the future holds.”

All employees of Robert B. Smith CPA, P.C., will join the HCRH team and remain at the Albany location.
