It’s time to turn your running shoes into dancing shoes!

Albany’s very first Dance Dash 5K with a Twist is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, at Phoebe HealthWorks. During this event, participants will not only run five kilometers, but will learn some simple and fun dance moves along the way, culminating in a flash mob at the end of the race.

All proceeds stay in Southwest Georgia and go directly to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, the regional Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

You can pre-register for this race at DanceDash.org. Day-of registration opens at 7 a.m. Race begins at 9 a.m. at Phoebe HealthWorks (311 W 3rd Avenue).  Registration is $45 from August 9 to August 23.
