Phoebe Sumter Gets New Interim CEO

Effective Monday, John Harding will be the interim CEO of Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.
“We are very pleased to have John come aboard and serve as the interim CEO at Phoebe Sumter as we continue to search for a permanent person for that role,” said Joe Austin, chief operating officer of Phoebe Putney Health System. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and has tremendous success in leadership in the healthcare industry, and he will be a welcomed asset not only to Phoebe Sumter but to the community as a whole.”
Doug Patten, formerly the chief medical officer at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, was previously in the role of interim CEO. He is slated to assume a position with the Georgia Hospital Association this week.
