Albany ARC to Dedicate Annette Bowling Campus

The Official Ribbon Cutting and Building Dedication of the Albany ARC Annette Bowling Campus will be held on Monday, June 9 at 5:30 p.m. The new campus building is located at 3005 Old Dawson Road. Ms. Annette Bowling, retired executive director, who served for 40 years, will be on-hand to welcome the Chamber of Commerce representatives and community friends.
At the Tribute held in Ms. Bowling’s honor during October 2013, the Board of Directors honored Ms. Bowling for her years of service by naming the new program offices building after her. At the annual meeting, Ms. Bowling was recognized by over 30 elected officials, state commissioners and executive directors from other service provider agencies from across the state.
Also, on-hand will be Ms. Susan Trueblood, the new executive director of the agency. Ms. Trueblood assumed her new position during 2013.
Founded 50 years ago, The Albany Advocacy Resource Center, advocates on behalf of persons with disabilities, and has become one of the largest and most successful private provider agencies in Georgia. The Albany ARC serves a wide range of disabilities and supportive living needs. Albany ARC is recognized as Georgia’s standard of consumer-driven, cost –effective services.
At the conclusion of the Ribbon Cutting and Dedication, the agency will hold its annual Membership Meeting.
