The Colquitt-Mitchell County Employer Committee will host a kick off to recruit new business representatives for its organization in Moultrie Tuesday, May 13. The event will be held at 8 a.m. at Ameris Bank, 24 Second Ave.

Vickie Henson of Atlanta, a project administrator with the Georgia Department of Labor, will discuss the benefits of membership in the local employer committee. Discussion will center around a number of issues: a company’s awareness of employment-related issues and the impact on its business operations, networking with other employers, and providing input into the development of policies impacting Georgia businesses. And, through committee membership, employers can help promote the services of the GDOL.

The employer committee, comprised of employers in Colquitt and Mitchell counties, maintains a working relationship with the GDOL’s Moultrie Career Center.
