Lawn Companies Say Heavy Rain Now Brings Spike in Business

Storms hitting southwest Georgia dumped almost three and a half inches of rain in parts of Dougherty County Friday. More rain in the forecast could continue our trend of an extremely wet spring.

Some lawns around Albany still have water in their yards, but all that moisture could now be boosting some businesses. Lawn workers said they've been swamped with calls since the sun came out, even though weekend storms canceled lawn jobs throughout Albany. 

The owner of A.G. Lawn Care said the rain is actually generating business for him because plants are now blooming. He said sunny weather will make up for any weekend losses.
