Faculty & Staff Members Recognized at Darton's Honors Program

Several faculty and staff members were recognized at Darton State College’s Honors Program held Wednesday night. The Honors Program is held each year to honor not only students, but also the College’s faculty and staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Teacher of the Year Award went to Dr. Kerri Johnson, assistant professor of physical therapy, physical therapist assistant program director. Adjunct Teacher of the Year was given to Taylor Wars, math center director. The Online Teaching Award was awarded to Dr. Sarah Kuck, assistant professor of political science.
Melanie Finlayson, assistant director of admissions, received the Staff Employee of the Year award. The Advising Award went to Amy Foster, instructor of English, ACCEL coordinator, QEP coordinator.
The College Service Award went to Brian Perkins, broadcast journalism program coordinator and David Mann, assistant professor of physical education and sports information director. The Community Service Award was awarded to Tonya Curles, occupational therapy assistant field coordinator.
