Megan’s House supporters, employees and families gathered in Albany Tuesday night February 25th, to celebrate 10 years of providing respite to families in South Georgia. Along with the celebration the evening was a kick off for a new “Dream House” capital campaign to raise money to build a new Megan’s House in Albany. The current home serves one family at a time. The much needed new house will be able to serve three to four families. The kickoff event was a success.

Donors gave or pledged almost $27,000 towards the new Megan’s House. The Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities had the crowd on their feet when he unexpectedly announced a $100,000 startup grant for the project. To make a donation designate “Dream House” campaign to 1906 Palmyra Rd. Albany, Ga .31701.
