Georgia Technology Summit Celebrates a Decade & Beyond

The Technology Association of Georgia announced that over 1300 technology professionals attended one of the nation’s largest statewide gatherings of technology companies and professionals at the 2014 Georgia Technology Summit which was held this week at the Cobb Galleria Center.
This year’s event focused on “Innovation Connections: Celebrating a Decade and Beyond” and featured a number of innovators and pioneers:
- Ted Turner- CNN founder in a rare public appearance and the latest to be inducted into the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia.
- Joe Plumeri- Former Willis Executive and Senior Adviser to the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of First Data Corporation.
- Terry Jones- leading internet expert, founder of Travelocity.com and Founding Chairman of Kayak.com.
- Carl Eschenbach, President and COO, VMware, with John Marshal, SVP/General Manager at Atlanta-based AirWatch who discussed their recent $1.54 billion deal.
- TAG’s Top 40/Top 10- Georgia’s most innovative technology companies
The State of the Industry: Technology in Georgia Report was also unveiled at the Summit. The annual report is a repository of facts, statistics, trends and other insights and serves as a resource for large and small technology business owners and decision makers.
