Vince R. Williams, County and Municipal Probation Advisory Council
Williams was elected mayor of Union City in 2013. He previously served two terms on the City Council of Union City. He serves as chair of the Georgia Municipal Association’s Public Safety Committee, treasurer of the Clayton County Juvenile Justice Fund Board and president of the Old Campbell Kiwanis Club. He and his wife, Sharon, have one daughter. They reside in Union City.
Martha K. Carr, State Board of Registration for Professional Geologists
Carr is a senior hydrogeologist with Geosyntec Consultants in Kennesaw. She serves on the Georgia Section Scholarship Committee of the Solid Waste Association of North America. She is a member of the Geological Society of America, the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists and the American Institute of Professional Geologists. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Georgia State University and master’s degree from the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Tech. She and her husband, Bill, reside in Atlanta.
W.T. Edmondson, State Board of Funeral Service
Edmondson is the owner of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home, where he serves as the licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a member of the Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia, Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association, Fifth District Funeral Service Practitioners Association and the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association. He resides in LaGrange.
Teresa A. MacCartney, Georgia Higher Education Facilities Authority
MacCartney is the chief financial officer and director of the Office of Planning and Budget. She currently serves on the Georgia Lottery Corp. Board, the Georgia Higher Education Savings Plan Board, the Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority, the Employees Benefits Plan Council and as secretary of the board of the OneGeorgia Authority. MacCartney earned a bachelor's degree in Science and a master's degree in Public Administration from Georgia Southern University. She and her husband, Andrew, have two children. They reside in Marietta.
Victor L. Drawdy, Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission
Drawdy is the operations manager for Okefenokee EMS Inc., Wayne County Branch. He has been an emergency medical technician since 1988 and became a paramedic and firefighter in 1990. He was Paramedic of the Year in 1999 and Director of the Year for Okefenokee EMS 2013, and he received a 20-year recognition from the National Registry of EMTs for continuous certification. He and his wife, Lynda, reside in Jesup.
Ronald J. Wallace, Georgia Composite Medical Board
Wallace is an executive vice president with Heritage First Bank in Rome. He previously served on the Rome City Commission and as mayor of Rome. He was elected to the Georgia Municipal Hall of Fame during his tenure on the Rome City Commission. He serves on the Rome Floyd Planning Commission, the Boys and Girls Club Board and the Berry College Campbell School of Business Board. Wallace earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Shorter University and a master’s degree from Berry College. He and his wife, Rhonda, have three children and four grandchildren. They reside in Rome.
C. LaTain Kell, Georgia Child Fatality Review Panel (reappointment)
Kell has been on the bench of the Superior Court of the Cobb Judicial Circuit since 2007. He serves on the State Bar’s Criminal Justice Reform Committee and the MUST Ministries Board of Directors and is a deacon at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. He sat as a justice designate on the Supreme Court of Georgia in 2011. He and his wife, Sheri, have one child. They reside in Marietta.
E.K. May, Georgia Child Fatality Review Panel (reappointment)
May served with the U.S. Army Mortuary in Vietnam as an identification specialist and embalmer. He has been a licensed funeral director for 44 years and has been the coroner in Washington County for the past 20 years. He served as the Washington County Emergency Management Director from 1971 until 1991 and served as the executive director for the Tennille Housing Authority for 20 years. He and his wife, Debby, have two children and two grandchildren. They reside in Tennille.
Kris Sperry, Georgia Child Fatality Review Panel (reappointment)
Sperry is the chief medical examiner for the state of Georgia with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He has held this position for nearly 17 years and has a particular specialty in the area of childhood injury, abuse and neglect. He has lectured and taught widely on these subjects, as well as other areas of forensic medicine. He and his wife, Blair, have four children and reside in Peachtree City.
Peggy H. Walker, Georgia Child Fatality Review Panel (reappointment)
Walker is a Juvenile Court judge for Douglas County. She completed two terms as trustee for the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and will be installed as president on July 15. She completed a two-year term as chair of the Georgia Commission on Family Violence and was a member of the commission from 2006 to 2012. Walker earned a master’s degree in Education and a law degree from Georgia State University. She is a graduate fellow of Zero To Three, Class of 2005 as well as a senior fellow at Emory University. She resides in Douglasville.
Jesse Crews, State Board of Physical Therapy
Crews has been an educator in public schools and a coach for 39 years. He serves on the Charlton County Commission and is a member of the Georgia High School Association Executive Committee. He is a deacon at First Baptist Church of St. George. Crews earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University and a master’s degree from Valdosta State University. He and his wife, Joan, have four children and five grandchildren. They reside in St. George.
Lenn Chandler, State Workforce Investment Board
Chandler is the northeast region vice president for Georgia Power Co. He currently serves on the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the St. Mary’s Health Care System Foundation Board, as president of Northeast Georgia Council of Boy Scouts Board and as vice chair of Mercy Health Center Board. He is a member of the Athens Rotary Club. Chandler received a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems from the University of West Georgia. He is graduate of Leadership Georgia 2003 and Leadership Atlanta 2011. He and his wife, Paula, have one son. They reside in Athens.
Henry Kelly, Professional Standards Commission
Kelly is a project executive for Georgia Power Co. He serves as chairman of the board for the Atlanta Chapter of 100 Black Men and on the Georgia Criminal Justice Reform Council. He has served as an interim member of the Atlanta Board of Education, as treasurer of the Atlanta Chapter of 100 Black Men, as a board member of Henry W. Grady Hospital Foundation and as vice chair of the City of Atlanta Audit Committee. Kelly earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Regents University and a master’s degree from Georgia State University. He and his wife, Joanne, have one son. They reside in Smyrna.
