ASU to Hold Innovation Conference

The Albany State University Center of Excellence for Innovation will hold a conference to explore the major industrial shifts that are redefining business and entrepreneurial ventures in the twenty-first century. At the conference industry leaders will share ideas on how to address the move toward more innovation. The conference will also focus on implementing strategies to enhance the curriculum and empower students to become entrepreneurs. The conference will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, in L. Orene Hall located on the campus.
The keynote speaker is Kirby Ferguson, a writer, director and film producer. Ferguson has created dozens of short comedy films and has received over four million views on the web. As part of a development deal with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, he recently wrote, directed, produced and edited the viral hit “Macs vs. PCs”.
Ferguson is a prolific comedy writer and has extensive knowledge of video production. He also writes and performs comedic monologue videos on his website, GoodieBag.tv.
