Family Reunions Bring Economic Impact to Albany

Albany has seen a big increase in family reunions in the city this year, and city officials continue to recruit visitors for the coming reunion season.
So far this year the city knows of 82 family reunions, a 28% increase over last year.
The estimated economic impact is more than a half million dollars for motels, restaurants, and caterers.
Convention and Visitors Bureau officials say they will continue to advertise Albany as a good value family reunion destination.
