Massive Community Project Being Led By the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce
Monday, August 26th, 2013
The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce is about to host a Membership Campaign unlike any this community has ever seen. “Our goal is to bring in 200 new members in just 3 days! We are the voice for business in Dougherty County, and we want our voice to be louder tomorrow than it was yesterday,” said Chris Hardy, president and CEO Albany Area Chamber of Commerce.
It’s a daunting task, but Hardy has plenty of help lined up. Along with over 100 volunteers, Membership 180, a membership development company from Greenville, South Carolina, has been enlisted to bring their experience in recruiting, engaging and retaining new members to the Albany Area Chamber. “The Chamber has done an incredible job of lining up volunteers to help us with this process,” said Jay Handler, co-founder of Membership 180. “With their leadership, we will easily surpass the goals they’ve established, and create a greater community awareness of the important role the Chamber plays here in Albany.”
The Campaign is scheduled for August 27-29, 2013. The Membership 180 team has been working with Chamber staff, board of directors and dozens of volunteers to prepare them for the hard work ahead. “We’re ready!” said Hardy. “This is an exciting time for our community and I know we’re ALL up to the challenge!”
