Albany CVB Kicks Off Photo Contest
Monday, July 8th, 2013
While visitors and locals are touring Albany and taking amazing photos for their memories, the Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau is asking them to share.
Now through Sept. 16, photographers — including professionals, amateurs, visitors, local, anyone — can log on to Visit Albany’s Facebook page and submit their favorite photo.
Photos need to be a minimum of 300 DPI jpg file. They can be color, black and white, or sepia tone. While minor adjustments can be made, major edits will disqualify a submission.
Subjects can range from events to people to landscapes throughout the year. Photographers are not limited to a season for their submissions.
Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Sept. 16. Voting for the overall winner will begin at 12:01 a.m. Sept. 17 and end at 11:59 p.m. Sept. 30.
The overall winner will receive an iPad 2 and will be showcased in The Albany Herald.
“Summer is the perfect time to hold this contest,” Albany CVB Director Rashelle Beasley said. “We have visitors coming for vacations, conferences and family reunions right now. The contest allows us to see Albany through their eyes as well as grow our photo library.”
