HeritageBank of the South is proud to announce Essence D’Andria Irene Thomas as winner of the Central & Southwest Georgia Region HBOS College Scholarship.  Essence is the daughter of Milton and Priscilla Thomas and is a 2011 graduate of Albany High School.  She currently attends Columbus State University where she is pursuing a degree in Accounting and Finance.

HeritageBank awarded six $500 scholarships to students across the Bank’s service regions.  The scholarship was open to high school seniors, as well as, full time students already attending an accredited college or university.  Winners were selected based on academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, community involvement and an essay question.
