GDOL & Local Employer Committee to Sponsor Career Expo in Americus

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL), Americus Area Employer Committee, and South Georgia Technical College will sponsor a career expo in Sumter County Thursday, May 30. It will be held from 1-4 p.m. in the James S. Peters Gymnasium at South Georgia Technical College, located at 900 South Georgia Tech Parkway in Americus.
The expo will feature a number of employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Some employers will be hiring, while others will discuss possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers. And, other organizations will provide educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for job openings.
Among those expected to participate in the event are the Art Institute of Atlanta, Blaine Warren Advertising, Corinthian Colleges, CSX Railroad, DeVry University, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, Innovative Senior Solutions, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Paxen Learning Corporation, Perdue Farms, Primerica Financial Services, Sumter County Schools, Timco Aviation Services, Tolleson Lumber Company, Transcor, Troy University, University of Phoenix, U.S. Air Force Reserve, Waffle House, and Wyotech.
