BJ Fletcher to Challenge Chris Pike for Commission Seat

BJ Fletcher, local businesswoman, announces today that she is seeking the office of Albany City Ward III Commissioner. Fletcher is the owner of BJ’s Country Buffet, Director of Sales at Hilton Garden Inn, and an ADICA Board member.
Fletcher ‘s campaign will focus on much needed service improvements within Ward III, as well as Economic development opportunities that impact the betterment of the City. “We live in the Good Life City. It is filled with hardworking, good people that try to make the most of that “good life.” I want to do my part to make all of our lives better in Albany. The people of Ward III want a leader that will represent their needs and bring attention to solving the problems of Ward III. I bring my integrity and strong work ethic to the office of City Commissioner and to leading the citizens of Ward III.”
Fletcher has been a local business person in Albany for the past 12 years. Managing and owning local restaurants and downtown business enterprises. She has been an active ADICA Board member since 2010, and was recently appointed to the Citizen’s Transportation Committee.
Fletcher has strong views about her responsibilities as Ward III Commissioner. “If the voters elect you to do a job, DO IT! If given the opportunity to represent the people of Ward III, I will be available and accountable 24-7 to take this job on as I have all others, with all of my heart and both of my sleeves rolled up.”
