The pace of IT job growth showed modest improvement in July.

According to TechServe Alliance, a collaboration of IT services firms, clients, consultants and suppliers, the number of IT jobs grew by 4,800 jobs in July to reach a level of 4,191,200---another all-time high. In June employers added only 2600 IT jobs.

"While the rate of IT job growth is not quite as robust as it was earlier in the year, July's numbers are nevertheless encouraging," stated Mark Roberts, CEO of TechServe Alliance. "Based on our data as well as the anecdotal reports of my member companies, demand for IT professionals remains fundamentally strong," added Roberts.
