Albany Kiwanis President Roger Marietta Receives “Extra Mile Award”

Kiwanis District Lt. Governor Gene Goldsmith presented Albany Kiwanis Club President Roger Marietta with the Extra Mile Award for the outstanding leadership he has provided to the club. Serving as president over the past year, Marietta has been instrumental in increasing club membership by over 30% and sponsorship of a Circle K club for Darton students. Marietta received a plaque to commemorate the award at the weekly meeting on August 29 and expressed his gratitude for the recognition and thanked club members for their support over the past year.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. The Albany Kiwanis Club meets each Wednesday at noon at the Darton Student Center in room 252.
