Last week, we learned that the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce’s unique workforce development program, Strive2Thrive, won the American Chamber of Commerce Executives’ Gold award in the organization’s Awards for Communications Excellence (ACE) program. 

The award will be presented to the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce at the ACCE 28th Annual Convention on August 3 in Louisville, Kentucky. 

The awards – presented at the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels – are highly competitive and draw nearly 100 chambers from across the country that compete annually for the highest industry honors. Gold is the highest award given.

“We’re very humbled to know our hard work in changing Albany, one family at a time is being recognized by the ACCE,” said Deborah Bowie, who submitted the winning entry earlier this year. 

“No matter how good a product or service you have, it means nothing if people know about. We hope the recognition will go a long way in helping us share this unique program with the world,” said Strive2Thrive Program Coordinator Ausha Jackson.
