Emory University's Goizuetta Business School and Georgia Tech were named among the top undergraduate B-schools in the country by Bloomberg Businessweek.

Goizuetta and Georgia Tech were ranked 5th and 37th overall, respectively, out of 124 colleges. Also on the list were two other state universities: Georgia (Terry), ranked 50th and Georgia State (Robinson) at 123rd spot.

Bloomberg Businessweek said its rankings were based on the responses of more than 28,000 students at the schools.

The publication assigned rankings in 14 academic disciplines for each school, ranging from entrepreneurship and ethics to marketing and sustainability.

For example, Notre Dame (Mendoza) was the top ranked school overall, coming in first in Ethics and in the top 5 in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, and other disciplines, but it ranked in the middle of the pack in International Business.

Goizuetta topped the rankings in the disciplines of Accounting and Business Law, and ranked in the Top 10 in a total of four disciplines. Its lowest rank of 80th came in Ethics.

Georgia Tech ranked in the Top 10 in two disciplines - operations management and quantitative methods, placing 9th in both. Its lowest ranking of 103rd came in Macro Economics.

Bloomberg Businessweek provides a fairly-easy-to-use table that allows you to sort schools based on different categories. If your son or daughter were more interested in entrepreneurship, for example, you could rank the top and bottom schools in the category.
