Robert Brooks, Jr. is proud to announce Pam McDonald-Garrett as co-owner of Brooks Furniture in Albany, Georgia.
McDonald-Garrett earned an associates degree in journalism from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, bachelor's degrees in English and accounting from Valdosta State University, and a master’s degree in English from Georgia Southwestern University.
McDonald-Garrett comes to Brooks Furniture from JLA Global, where she served as president for the multinational analytical and technical agricultural corporation.
Prior to her time at JLA, she worked with SB&T of Albany, a Synovus affiliate, for 15 years as a private banker and manager of sales, and the Georgia Department of Banking as a bank examiner, and also as an educator. As a dedicated volunteer in the Albany community, McDonald-Garrett is an active member of the Albany Chamber of Commerce, Albany Rotary Club and Junior League of Albany, where she served as president in 2007. She serves on the boards of Girl Talk and Lily Pad.
“We are delighted that Pam will be joining us in this role,” said Brooks. “Her proven executive leadership abilities combined with her strong financial background will be a valuable asset to our company.”
As co-owners, Robert and Pam will continue to deliver the excellent customer service that Robert’s father, Bob, established when Brooks Furniture opened over four decades ago.
“I'm honored to be joining the Brooks Furniture family,” said McDonald-Garrett. “The Brooks family has built a successful furniture business by concentrating on what matters most to consumers—the very best customer service. We'll continue to strive for customer loyalty through our exceptional values, and also with a focus on product and style as we introduce new furniture lines."
In the coming months, Brooks Furniture will receive a total revitalization in their three acre showroom. “It's the overall experience that leaves a lasting impression on our customers,” said Brooks. “In addition to the visible store transformation, we plan to offer new product lines, based on input from our customers.”
Brooks and McDonald-Garrett invite the community to visit the Brooks Furniture showroom located at 1201 West Broad Avenue, Albany, Georgia, to see the new and exciting changes.
