Apple Two Associates, operators of the Applebee’s in Albany, today announced that its restaurant in Albany, Georgia at 637 Westover Blvd will soon serve guests with an all new look and feel.

On the menu: a remodeled interior and exterior with warmer color tones, contemporary design features unique to Albany, including murals from the neighborhood; service enhancements; and new food and drink selections.

The Albany restaurant will close on Sunday, May 6th at 9PM reopening only three days later on Wednesday, May 9th at 5PM to unveil its completed makeover.

"We're breathing new life into our restaurants with stronger connections to their individual neighborhoods and providing our guests with exceptional experiences," said Troy Thrasher, Vice President of Operations for Apple Two Associates. 

"Our guests' commitment to us over the years and our desire to give back with a high level of atmosphere, food quality and service were the leading reasons for us to make this significant investment in Albany.

We anticipate that our neighbors in the Albany area will surely appreciate the fresh new look and approach we are bringing to the neighborhood."

Some exterior work will precede the closures, but will be conducted overnight as to not intrude on the guests' experience. The most noticeable changes at the revamped restaurant include the replacement of the exterior striped awnings with oversized, contemporary ones that elongate the building and highlight the façade.

"Getting the work done in three days is an aggressive schedule but we have done significant work in the planning phases with our architects, contractors, facility managers and local managers to ensure the process goes very smoothly," added Thrasher.

Guests will also appreciate the changes beyond the bricks and mortar. New kitchen procedures mean guests receive fresh, hot meals and a refreshed overall better than ever experience.

Kitchen staff re-training will emphasize the finer culinary points in preparing the restaurant's most popular entrees. Applebee’s will also re-certify team members to deliver superior service in a way that is uniquely Applebee's.
