Deal Inks Extended Sales Tax Break for Delta

Delta Air Lines Inc.will enjoy a state sales tax exemption on its jet fuel purchases for another two years under a bill signed into law Wednesday by Gov.Nathan Deal.
The legislation, which cleared the General Assembly two weeks ago on the last day of this year's session, will cap the exemption at $20 million during the fiscal year starting July 1 and drop to $10 million in fiscal 2013.
The tax break will expire at the start of fiscal 2014 absent further action from lawmakers.
