Southern AG Carriers, Inc. is expanding its regional operations with the opening of a new terminal facility in Albany, Georgia. To celebrate this milestone, the company will host a formal Open House and Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at 705 McCollum Drive.

"This new terminal represents much more than a new facility," said Lem Goodpasture, Chief Executive Officer at Southern AG Holdings, LLC. "It represents the continued growth of Southern AG Holdings and our commitment to the people and customers who have helped us get here. For more than 30 years, we've built this company on hard work, strong relationships, and our roots in agriculture. This investment gives us the space and resources to better serve our customers, support our drivers and employees, and prepare Southern AG for the opportunities ahead. We're proud of where we've been, excited about where we're going, and committed to growing right here in Albany."

With over 35 years of industry experience, the expansion reinforces Southern AG Carriers' ongoing investment in Dougherty County and its long-standing commitment to enhancing regional transport infrastructure. As part of the project, the company is making more than $300,000 in capital investment in its new Albany facility. Southern AG Carriers currently employs more than 185 people and plans to add 26 new jobs over the next four years. The new terminal will support expanded fleet logistics, increase regional service capacity, and provide enhanced operational resources to serve clients throughout Southwest Georgia and beyond.

Attendees at the event will have the opportunity to participate in the formal ribbon-cutting ceremony, tour the state-of-the-art facility, and connect with company leaders alongside local civic officials.

The facility is expected to serve as a key focal point for regional freight, connecting local producers with broader distribution channels across the Southeast.
