The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Zondria Wilson as Director of Operations & Workforce Development.
Wilson brings 24 years of professional experience spanning human resources, operations, workforce development, event planning, and community engagement. At the center of her work is a passion for people and a desire to make things better — whether through building strong relationships, improving processes and efficiencies, strengthening engagement or creating exceptional experiences for the people and organizations she serves.
Her professional experience includes roles with Mars Snacking, the American Cancer Society, Clark Associates and OFI, as well as Lee County High School, where she served as a CTAE administrator supporting career and technical education. Working across corporate, nonprofit, manufacturing and education environments has given Wilson a unique perspective on how strong relationships, effective processes and meaningful partnerships help organizations succeed and communities thrive.
As Director of Operations & Workforce Development, Wilson will serve as a key connector among Chamber members, workforce partners, community organizations and Chamber leadership. Her role will focus on strengthening day-to-day operations, advancing workforce and talent development initiatives, supporting Chamber events and strategic initiatives, and strengthening engagement with Chamber members, investors, volunteers and community partners.
"I've always enjoyed work that brings people together and creates opportunities to make a difference," Wilson said. "I'm excited to join the Chamber, build new relationships and use the experiences I've gained throughout my career to support our businesses, workforce and community. This area has become home to my family, so having the opportunity to contribute to its continued growth makes this role especially meaningful to me.”
“Zondria brings a combination of experience, energy and a passion for people to the Albany Area Chamber,” said Matt Reed, Interim President & CEO of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce. “Her experience across business, education, workforce development and operations gives her perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing our members and our community, and she understands that strong organizations are built on strong relationships. She will be an incredible asset to our team as we strengthen our operations, expand our workforce initiatives and create even greater value for our chamber members and the community.”
Wilson looks forward to building relationships throughout the Albany and Southwest Georgia community and working alongside Chamber members, business leaders and community partners to support continued growth and opportunity throughout the region. Her experience and passion for bringing people together will play an important role as the Chamber continues to serve its members and strengthen the business community.
