Albany Technical College Hosts Veterans Day Ceremony with Maj. Gen. Keith Reventlow as Keynote Speaker

Albany Technical College (ATC) is proud to announce its annual Veterans Day Ceremony, scheduled for November 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Logistics Education Center Auditorium. This year’s event will feature Maj. Gen. Keith D. Reventlow, Commanding General of the Marine Corps Logistics Command, as the keynote speaker. ATC is honored to have Maj. Gen. Reventlow share his leadership insights and experiences, as he addresses the community and pays tribute to the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces.
The ceremony will include a presentation of colors by Monroe Comprehensive High School Air Force Junior Reserve, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem led by Ivey Bradley, Chair of the Dental Assisting Program. Matt Trice, Vice President of Economic Development, will offer the invocation and provide welcome remarks. A special bagpipes presentation will be performed by Col. Dan Gillan, USMC (Retired), leading into the keynote address by Maj. Gen. Reventlow. The ceremony will conclude with a veterans tribute video and closing remarks from Matt Trice.
About Maj. Gen. Keith D. Reventlow: Maj. Gen. Keith D. Reventlow has over three decades of dedicated service in the United States Marine Corps. As the Commanding General of the Marine Corps Logistics Command, he oversees critical logistical support for Marine forces worldwide, ensuring operational readiness in various mission settings. A highly respected leader, Maj. Gen. Reventlow has served in numerous capacities, both stateside and abroad, including combat operations and international partnerships. He has been a key figure in strategic military logistics and has received multiple commendations for his leadership, operational excellence, and service to the nation. His vast experience in leading large military organizations makes him uniquely suited to speak on the significance of veterans' contributions to national defense.

ATC has consistently demonstrated excellence in supporting military students, offering programs like the AAS degree in Business Logistics Management, which was developed in partnership with the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany.

In addition to its Military Friendly designation, Albany Technical College is also a DOD Skillbridge Partner. This program allows service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through industry training, apprenticeships, and internships during their last 180 days of service. ATC provides pathways for transitioning service members into technical careers that align with their military skills and training.
