The company expects to invest $10 million in Dougherty County due to this expansion, including sixteen new manufacturing, service, and engineering jobs.

“We are excited about the expansion of AMADAS in Albany and are thankful for their continued commitment to our community,” said Chris Hatcher, Chairman of the ADEDC. “Albany’s strategic proximity to area farmers enables companies such as AMADAS to reach their customer base seamlessly.”

Through this expansion, AMADAS plans to produce all Peanut Diggers and Lifters in the Dougherty County facility. Additional products planned to transition to Albany, GA, include Stalk Puller Choppers and large Peanut Combine accessories. Further, AMADAS is expanding its service department in Albany, GA, to enhance its exceptional customer support. The additional manufacturing capacity will reduce lead times on many fabricated parts.

“We are proud to be making this significant investment in our facility, our team, and our community in Southwest Georgia.  We are committed to growth in the heart of peanut country to better serve the farmers and farm equipment dealers who are our valued customers.  We have been a corporate citizen in Albany, GA, for 50 years, and we are excited to grow our operations and infrastructure here, thanks to the business-friendly economic development teams at the City of Albany and the State of Georgia.” said Jimmy Adams, President of AMADAS Industries.

The decision to expand in Dougherty County was driven by several factors, including the area's fertile agricultural landscape, skilled workforce, and supportive business environment. By increasing its presence, AMADAS aims to enhance its capacity to serve farmers and stakeholders across the United States, bolstering agricultural productivity and sustainability.

“Expanding the operational capabilities with next-generation equipment and technology will enable AMADAS to continue leading the peanut harvesting industry in performance and service.  This project will provide benefits to our local community and customers as we continue to invest in our American Made products in Albany, GA,” said Jim Welch, Vice President of Operations at AMADAS Industries.

AMADAS's growth in Dougherty County signifies a promising future for the local agricultural sector, as the company continues to innovate and collaborate with local farmers to address evolving challenges and opportunities in agriculture.

"We are thrilled to expand our operations in Dougherty County said Lorenzo Heard, Chairman of the Dougherty County Commission. "This expansion not only allows us to strengthen our commitment to the local agricultural community but also positions us to better support farmers with cutting-edge technologies and solutions.”
