Dougherty County Announces Partnership with Artisan Alliance to Revitalize Riverfront Park with New Water Feature

Wednesday, May 1st, 2024

The Dougherty County Board of Commissioners is thrilled to announce an exciting partnership with the Artisan Alliance to revitalize Riverfront Park with a brand-new interactive water feature.

The first phase of the Flint RiverQuarium Master Plan and redevelopment the Riverfront Park will require the demolition of the Festival of Springs Fountain, also known as the Splash Pad, and the removal of existing fixtures and equipment to ensure the safety of all park-goers. Artesian will then have signage installed to showcase future plans.

Regrettably, the initiation of construction means that the Festival of Springs Fountain will not be operational this summer when it regularly opens on Memorial Day. The County encourages residents and visitors to continue exploring Riverfront Park and other attractions such as Radium Springs Park, Chehaw Park, Flint RiverQuarium, and the various recreational opportunities Dougherty County offers.
