The Albany Tech Foundation is gearing up for its 1st Annual Dr. Anthony O. Parker Golf Tournament. The tournament will take place at the River Pointe Golf Club on September 26th, 2023.  

Dr. Parker loved Albany Technical College (ATC), the surrounding community, and playing golf. The objective of the golf tournament this year is to raise funds in support of the college’s Education Makes Cents campaign. Campaign funds will assist in covering tuition and fees for twenty-seven ATC students who are experiencing financial hardship and have exhausted all other monetary resources.  

We are also fortunate to have a professional golfer join us on the Greens this year. Mr. Jim Dent turned pro in 1966 and was since inducted in the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame and the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. Additionally, he played in the Florida PGA Championship in 1976, 1977, and 1978. A reception will take place on September 25th at The Flint to welcome Mr. Dent and to acknowledge his accomplishments.
