Colony Bank Promotes Cindy Griffin & Tommy Clark

Colony Bank today announced that Cindy Griffin, formerly Regional President over the Southwest Georgia region, including Albany, Leesburg, Moultrie and Sylvester, has been promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Director of Commercial Banking. In her new role, Griffin is responsible for training and management of Colony’s commercial banking team and leads the Commercial Banker Task Force. Tommy Clark, formerly Albany Market President, has been promoted to fill Griffin’s position of Regional President. Both positions report to Eddie Hoyle, Executive Vice President, Chief Banking Officer.
Griffin joined Colony Bank as Regional President in 2018. Prior to joining Colony, she served in leadership roles at Albany-based banks for over 28 years, including Regional President for Planters First Bank; Vice President for Renasant Bank and its predecessor, HeritageBank of the South; and Vice President, Branch Manager for SunTrust Bank, where she served on the Presidents Club for SunTrust Insurance Company and was a SunTrust Bank Diamond Award winner. During Griffin’s 36 years in the banking industry, she has developed an excellent reputation for providing personalized financial solutions and a high level of service to businesses, their owners and professionals. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Outreach Center. Griffin and her husband, Dexter, have three daughters and three grandchildren. Griffin enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, reading and watching football.
Clark joined Colony Bank as Albany Market President in 2018. Prior to joining Colony, he served in senior positions at Albany-based banks for over 15 years, including Market President for Planters First Bank; Vice President for Renasant Bank and its predecessor, HeritageBank of the South; and Vice President-Commercial Banking for SB&T Bank. Clark holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia Southwestern State University and is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Albany. He currently serves on various community Boards, including Horizons Community Solutions and Doublegate Country Club, and serves as President of the Booster Club at Deerfield Windsor School. He previously served on the Boards of Albany Civil Rights Institute, Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission, Dougherty County Rotary Club and as chairman of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce. Clark and his wife, Dana, have one son. Clark enjoys watching his son play sports, hunting, fishing and University of Georgia football.
