Phoebe Foundation Welcomes New President & Chief Fundraising Officer

Carolyn Higgins, MPA, CFRE, has been named the new Phoebe Foundation President & Chief Fundraising Officer. Higgins began serving in her new role last month.
“I am honored to join the Phoebe Foundation team. Developing strong donor relationships will be key to the Foundation’s success in the community. The team has done an outstanding job building relationships and I look forward to continuing that momentum. In addition, the Albany community has been very welcoming and I am happy to now call it home,” said Higgins.
With more than 27 years of healthcare experience, Higgins brings a wealth of knowledge in raising philanthropic support for the non-profit sector. Prior to joining Phoebe Foundation, she served as Executive Director at the Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Foundation for almost eight years. Throughout her career, she has worked with a number of healthcare organizations gaining experience in major gift cultivation, grant writing, strategic planning and enhanced quality donor relationships.

Since joining the Phoebe Foundation, Higgins has hit the ground running and says she is energized by the opportunity to expand the Foundation’s presence and make an impact in Southwest Georgia.
Higgins has a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s degree in public administration. She has completed a two-year fellowship with the Advisory Board Company in Healthcare Leadership and has earned the distinction of Fellow of the Advisory Board Company. In 2012, she became a certified LEAN leader, and in 2017, she became a Certified Fund Raising Executive.
