ASU to Host Graduate Programs Information Session

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Wednesday, April 29th, 2015

Students and community members will have the chance to learn more about Albany State University’s advance degree programs at an information session Wednesday, April 29, hosted by the ASU Graduate School.

The session will be held in the Student Center Ballroom from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

“At ASU, our graduate programs offer affordability and convenience. We believe that our graduate programs equip students with the tools needed to have a direct impact in their respective communities,” said Jeffrey Pierce, II, graduate admissions counselor.

Valuable admissions and financial aid information will be provided.

“It is a great idea to have a Graduate School information session because it gives potential graduate students an opportunity to meet faculty and advisors, as well as, future graduate students.  Participants will be able to ask questions and receive clarification about admission, financial aid, and other requirements,” said Janis Carthon, Ed.D., coordinator of Educational Leadership in the ASU College of Education.

The graduate programs at ASU focus on promoting excellence in graduate education and ensuring that, upon completion, participants are efficient contributors in their field of study.

“In the past, this event has been very successful.  We would like for people in the community to come, collect, and share information about our graduate program with family, friends, or anyone who may be interested in furthering his or her education,” Carthon said.
