CTSI Outsourcing Partners with Clients on IT Support
Tuesday, February 12th, 2013
CTSI Outsourcing provides businesses with an IT support team that is familiar with their business, their servers and applications. In the company's IT Timeshare Service, every client is assigned a technician and a back-up technician who visit weekly and are accessible by cell phone at any time.
"If a client has a problem that can wait until the next scheduled visit then we handle it then. Otherwise, they can call if it's an emergency and often we can remotely access their systems to implement a fix," said Tammy McCrary, president of CTSI Outsourcing.
"But it's not just break and fix work. We also look for ways to help clients. There's a partnership there. For example, we might suggest creating a web form so that employees don't have to keep typing in data."
In business for 15 years, CTSI Outsourcing serves clients in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, California, Utah, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and Ohio. The company is a certified IT support provider for IBM and Hewlett-Packard, which has led to contracts with major corporations such as Miller-Coors, Kellogg's, Procter & Gamble as well as many small businesses and nonprofits. Its IT support solutions include intranet and network administration, application development, web development, database development and support, project management, call center support and training.
Outsourcing on the Rise
With many companies looking to cut costs, IT outsourcing is on the rise. Large corporations like P&G outsource their local IT departments to CTSI, which provides seven full-time technicians to the Albany mill and offices.
"Companies can choose to have as few as two hours a week of IT support under our IT Timeshare Service or as many as 40 hours a week," McCrary said.
"In return for committing to a number of hours of support each week, clients receive a discounted hourly rate."
In 2013, CTSI Outsourcing expanded its services to include Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP phone systems. The company is a dealer for Star2Star, a VoIP provider that was recently named to the Inc. 500 list of America's fastest growing private companies.
"We researched the VoIP area extensively and were impressed by Star2Star," McCrary said. "And VoIP technology promises significant cost savings for businesses."
A New Look
In 2012, CTSI Outsourcing refreshed its branding and increased its marketing. The company standardized its colors – navy blue and lime green – and its logo. The logo presentation is now the same on all signage, ads, business cards and on the company's website.
"We also wrapped a Mini Cooper in our graphics and our technicians drive it when they are out visiting clients," McCrary said.
"We've gotten a very positive response to the new look and our marketing. It has definitely increased our name recognition."
