Lee County Unveils New Image

In the next few weeks, the new Lee County logo and tagline will make an appearance in Albany and the surrounding area. Designed to reflect Lee County’s excellent quality of life and bright future, the colorful logo embodies the county’s new tagline: Life works well here.
Alan Ours, the administrator for Lee County, approached the county commissioners about a year ago with the idea of developing a new identity for the county. The county’s existing tagline: Come grow with us, used with the county seal as a logo, had not been refreshed in years. The commissioners approved his recommendation to hire Langstaff Marketing to help update the county’s image.
“In the last four years, we’ve made tremendous progress in Lee County. We are in strong financial position, have excellent relationships with our state and federal peers and have many capital projects under way supporting both infrastructure and commercial development. We wanted a new look to reflect our progress and potential,” Ours explained.
Langstaff developed a written description of the county’s identity. That identity is partly defined by the county’s higher median income and award-winning school system, two factors that distinguish Lee County from surrounding areas. With its “hometown” feel, Lee County offers excellent quality of life today and a very promising future. Langstaff hired The Studios of Bryan Haynes, Inc. to design a logo to reflect this identity. In February, the county commissioners reviewed and approved the new image.
“I think the new logo captures the new life and excitement in Lee County and the tagline complements the logo design,” Ours continued.
The logo and tagline will be used in promotional materials that the county distributes to households and businesses as well as to out-of-county businesses that may be considering relocation. The logo will also appear on county signage, vehicles, stationery and business cards.
“I believe the new image will resonate with our citizens and capture the excitement that exists within our community. It really is a new day in Lee County and I think the logo sends that message clearly to everyone,” Ours said.
