Luke Flatt Talks About AB&T's New Board Members

President & CEO of AB&T Luke Flatt discusses the 6 new board appointments for the bank and the way that this strengthens the community bank by adding a mix of young business leaders to their leadership team.

One of the strengths of community banking is the involvement of a local board of directors. By bringing successful local business persons into its boardroom, a community bank can gain invaluable expertise and at the same time broaden its reach within the area it serves.

AB&T National Bank and its parent company, Community Capital Bancshares, Inc., are very proud to announce the election of the following individuals to its boards of directors:

Jenny Y. Savelle is Chief Executive Officer and co-owner, along with her husband, Jud, of Bishop Clean Care, Inc. Based in Lee County, Bishop Clean Care focuses on residential and commercial cleaning and water and fire restoration. A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, she received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Jenny is Vice Chair of the Small Business Resource Division and serves on the Executive Committee of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce. She is in line to serve as Chairman of the Chamber in 2017.

Ben Jacobs (Jake) Barrow graduated Sherwood Christian Academy and attended Auburn University where he received his degree in Civil Engineering. He is Secretary/ Treasurer of Artesian Contracting Co., Inc. and is responsible for estimating, project management and day-to-day operation of the general contracting business which specializes in federal construction contracting serving military installations in several southeastern states.

Justin Jones graduated Albany High School and attended the University of Georgia where he received a Bachelor in Agricultural Economics. He is the co-manager of sales for Tri-County Ag Services, LLC. a farm supply company that provides chemicals, fertilizers and seed to farmers across southwest Georgia. In addition, Justin is a farmer himself as a partner in several row crop and pecan farming operations in the Southwest Georgia area.

John Lamar (Jake) Reese, IV graduated Deerfield-Winsor School before studying at Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction. Following graduation, he returned to Albany as a project manager at LRA Constructors, Inc., a business founded Murray Webb and his grandfather, J. Lamar Reese, Jr. LRA is a general contracting company which focuses on commercial and industrial projects in Georgia, Florida and Alabama.

J. Bridges Sinyard is Vice President of Adams Exterminators. After graduating Deerfield-Windsor School, he attended the University of Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance as well as a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance. Upon graduating, he joined Senator Saxby Chambliss in Washington as a member of the Senator’s professional staff. While there, he was responsible for transportation and agricultural policies. Bridges is active with the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce where he is on the Executive Committee and is the Vice Chair of Leadership Development.

Jeffrey (Jeff) D. Wiggins is president and co-owner along with his brother, Colby, of DJ’s II Car Wash, Inc., Oasis Car Wash of Albany and several additional car washes in South Georgia and North Florida. He is responsible for the day to day operations of each car wash. A graduate of Georgia Southern University, he has a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Small Business Management.

Commenting on the new directors, Luke Flatt, president and CEO, said “We are extremely pleased to be adding to our board the next generation of directors. These talented young people come from varying industries with one common theme -- the success of their businesses. Like AB&T, their business success depends upon the economic vitality of our area. Consequently, each of them has a vested interest in the future of our community.” He went on to say that “each of these new board members fits perfectly with our vision of being the gold standard of community banking. Furthermore, we believe that their leadership will help ensure a bright future for AB&T and the entire Albany area.”

As he welcomed the new members, Luke also recognized two individuals who are retiring from the boards. In thanking W. David Campbell and John Temple Phillips, III for their years of loyal service, Luke stated that “both of these men have demonstrated tireless support for this Bank as well as our community. Very clearly, AB&T has been the beneficiary of their guidance and efforts.”
