Hi, my name is Judy Randle; I’m the owner at Central Monitoring.  We’re a local company here in Albany, Georgia that provides burglar and fire alarm systems for businesses and homes.  We’ve been in business since 1984; we’re located at 522 Pine Avenue.

One of the things I’d like to talk about today is tips for vacation time.  As people are leaving their homes it’s more important than ever that they are sure that their home is protected and it doesn’t appear to be vacant.  Be sure to have a neighbor coming in and picking up your newspapers, you put cameras on your lights or your TV or radio in your home so the home appears to be occupied during the time you are gone.  If you have an alarm system, but sure that you arm that alarm system, be sure that your neighbors are aware that you’re going to be out of town so if they do see someone in your yard, they know to go ahead and call the authorities.

While you’re thinking about your security for your home during the summer, remember that, if you have an alarm system some of the features that can be added to your alarm system are smoke detectors that would summon authorities if there was a fire in your home.  We also have contacts that can be added to the air conditioner units so that if there’s a potential copper theft in your air conditioner it would send an alarm to us.

For businesses, the latest trend has been – a lot of people are installing camera systems to help watch their activity of their inventory, their employees, to see people coming in and out of their business.  We have access control that can be installed with card readers to allow people only into certain sections of the building to protect the inventory.

For senior citizens, we have a system we call The Smart Way, that’s like the one you see on TV, the “Help I’ve Fallen and Can’t Get Up,” but we have those available in our office.  They are as low as $25 per month and very, very easy.  No contract required just the length of time that the senior citizen might need the alarm or for someone who is handicapped or unable to – who needs someone with them all the time, they would be able to summon help.

Again, we’re located at 522 Pine Avenue. Our website is: www.Central911.com.
