Terry McMillan of McMillan Associates discusses the land tax rebates you're missing out on.

Hi. I'm Terry McMillan with McMillan Associates and I'd like to share with you today the federal location federal tax credit.

One of them is called a federal empowerment zone and that's both rural and urban and that's where you can receive up to $3,000 per employee per year for those employees that also work in the empowerment zone. We have a bank, for instance, that's in an empowerment zone and they get excess of $75,000 per year for that credit.

The renewal community credit, although it expired this year, that's where you can get up to $1,500 per employee per year and that's also retroactive as is the empowerment zone credit for three years.

The Indian employment tax credit is where your company, if it's on current or former Indian reservation land, can recover up to $4,000 per employee per year. We have a manufacturing company, for instance, and they get excess of six figures a year for the Indian employment tax credit.
