Georgia-Pacific to Permanently Close South Georgia Mill, Eliminating 500+ Jobs

Employees at the Cedar Springs Containerboard mill were told Wednesday, May 14 that operations at the mill will permanently close later this year.
Most positions will be eliminated by August 1, according to Georgia-Pacific’s announcement. They said approximately 535 jobs will be impacted.
