AB&T is pleased to announce the Board of Directors has unanimously elected Charlene Parker as a Bank Officer and AB&T’s Audit Coordinator at its December board meeting.

As Audit Coordinator, Charlene will be responsible for planning, coordinating and facilitating crucial internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. This requires strong organizational skills, adept documentation management, risk assessment proficiency, and continual improvement of audit processes, as well as synchronization with auditors, bankers and other stakeholders.

Having worked in a variety of areas during her two decades with AB&T, Charlene has unique perspective of the inner workings of the company and for the past several years has played a vital role working behind the scenes in loan operations.

“For the past 22 years Charlene Parker has been hard at work, often behind the scenes, tending to critical loan details, small and large, as we deliver financing solutions to our client’s projects throughout the Southeast,” said AB&T CEO Perry Revell. “With excellence in execution, Charlene sets the standard. In a fluid, ever-changing banking landscape, rife with competition, few things are as valuable as dependability, stability and consistency; traits that describe Charlene. I am incredibly proud to see Charlene assume this critical role within our company and I want to congratulate and thank her for all she does to make AB&T the Gold Standard in community banking.”

A native of Florida, Charlene had spent the bulk of her life in Georgia, graduating from Byne Christian School before earning an Associate degree from Darton State College and a Bachelor in Finance from Valdosta State University. She is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association Compliance School.
