As the sun sets on the 2022-2023 school year, the newest crop of DCSS teachers were 'pinned' recently, culminating their first year in the district. 

More than 30 teachers received a DCSS pin, certificate and pen to mark the successful completion of their first year in the district. The teachers received their pin from their mentor teacher, which helped guide them through their first year. 

The program is part of the district's New Teacher Induction program, which aims to provide meaningful support and guidance to teachers new to the district and the profession.
