Steven Carter Set to Become Albany City Manager

In a 5-2 vote during a special called Thursday morning meeting, the Albany City Commission has agreed to a contract to make hire interim City Manager Steven Carter permanently.
Carter was offered $200,000 a year along with a $12,000 signing bonus. An addendum was made for the contract allowing for Carter to have a $60 a month cell phone allowance.
